I'm Kirk Skatvold, founder of Great Horned Home Inspections and a Certified Professional Home Inspector based in Bend, Oregon. Before launching this business, I spent over a decade as a touring musician and tour manager, coordinating complex logistics across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and the Caribbean. That experience—paired with my background in project management—taught me how to stay organized, solve problems under pressure, and never overlook the details.
I also bring years of experience in construction, solar energy, and land management, giving me a well-rounded perspective on how homes are built, maintained, and impacted by Central Oregon’s unique environment.
In addition to home inspections, I volunteer and serve as an NRIO Certified Range Officer—a role that reinforces my commitment to objectivity, safety, and precision. When I’m not inspecting homes, you’ll often find me supporting local shooting competitions or spending time outdoors with my wife and our two dogs.
